Huddersfield Giants Golf Day
Director Chris Taylor headed a four man team in the Huddersfield Giants Golf Day held at Woodsome Hall Golf Club yesterday afternoon.
Giants supporters were able to enter a team of 3 or 4 members plus a choice of a first team player from the likes of Danny Brough, Larne Patrick, Antonio Kaufusi, Chris Bailey and Kruise Leeming. A total of 20 teams competed at the picturesque course in Farnley Tyas.
Commercial Executive Brian Blacker commented on the event:
“The day was won by Natwest Bank in what was a close event. The longest drive was won by Matt Poxen of Heineken and the nearest pin was won by Jamie Smith from Kings Security. I’d personally like to thank Woodsome Hall Golf Club and Ryan O’Connor in particular who helped facilitate the day with myself along with all the partners and hole sponsors involved. I would also like to thank Arrow Self Drive who provided the goody bags and photography Heineken who provided free half way refreshments.”
The golf event was such a success it is now planned to become an annual feature of the Giants calendar.
