Prudential Bike Ride 26 Miles

Congratulations go to the ‘Cycle of Life’ group who recently completed the ‘The Prudential Ride London-Surrey 46’ and formed part of the 28,000 cyclists who took part in the event for various charities.

On the 29th July 2017 17 riders from Huddersfield cycle group ‘Cycle of Life’ took part in the high profile bike ride for Prostate Cancer.

Arrow Self Drive were proud to be able to provide a Luton van and a 17 seat minibus to help the group achieve this amazing ride, ferrying their team and cycles to London and back.

The Prudential Ride London-Surrey 46 comprises a spectacular 46-mile route on traffic-free roads begining at the Queen Elizabeth II Olympic Park in east London, heads through the capital, out to Hampton Court Palace and then back into London to finish along The Mall.

The route was specifically created for newer cyclists and younger cyclists, who might find a 100-mile challenge intimidating. It is a great introduction to cycling on traffic-free roads and is a wonderful way to ride your first sportive.

A member of the Cycle of Life group commented, “ It was an amazing event, with all ages taking part, some of us more mature! We are thankful to Arrow Self Drive for helping us by supplying free transport and enabling us to give even more of the funds raised directly to the Prostate Cancer Fund. We made quite an impact and our team were very proud of their accomplishments. We are now planning our next adventure.”
