Workshop upgrade for even faster vehicle maintenance
Lifting and testing experts Totalkare, have been working with us to upgrade our workshop facilities.
We had quite an extensive list of new kit including an in-ground load-simulating brake tester, headlamp tester and two-post lift to service our fleet of over 2,000 commercial vehicles, which are maintained and repaired in-house by our team of engineers.
Totalkare specialise in vehicle lifts and testing equipment for heavy duty and light commercial vehicle workshops and also offer a comprehensive service contract to ensure everything is running smoothly.
Their in-ground brake tester provides easy-to-use diagnostic software resulting in advanced data collection, storage and improved presentation of results. We chose a model that features load-simulation, removing the need for manual loading which can be time consuming.
The DVSA-approved tester comes with cabinet, computer, printer, monitor and handheld tablet which enables brake tests to be conducted with ease from within the cab of the vehicle in just a few minutes.
We also invested in a two-post lift, which raises vans from the chassis to provide access not only to the underside of the vehicle but also to the wheel arch area.
“The new workshop equipment allows us to be even more efficient, with quicker turnarounds and minimised vehicle downtime,” explains our Area Workshop Manager, Chris Brian. “Technologies such as wireless displays and load-simulation can help save time, which is really important when managing a large fleet like ours.”
