Gearing up for success
Training and development are important at Arrow and we actively support all our staff with the provision of appropriate courses and opportunities for career advancement. We also offer apprenticeships which allow young people to gain new skills and a career path as well as ensuring we have talented people to take the company forward.
Richard is one of our apprentices working as a mechanic at our Wakefield depot. He has just completed his NVQ Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service & Maintenance Technician course and is now a fully qualified mechanic. The course takes three years to complete and as with all our apprentices, Richard attended Kirklees College one day a week.
Richard joined us in 2022 and is a real asset to the team. A big thank you to Eddie, our Workshop Manager at Wakefield depot who has mentored Richard throughout his training.
Mechanics, Lee, Richard, Pardon, Daniel and Elvis have also successfully passed their LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) training course. The two-day course is designed to minimise the risk of accidents and incidents during lifting operations. The training covers the regulations, responsibilities, and practical aspects of using lifting equipment safely, vehicle tail lifts and load testing in order to achieve compliance with the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998.
Well done to everyone.
